The entry to the light house tower is allowed every day, it will pay the charges for the entry. the entry if daily from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm only. it was one of the largest towers in old days. cohin carnival is the seasonal attraction of puthuvype beach, so it will prefer more sights when the holidays of Christmas, however all days of an year is best to visit. the beach is only 3 km from puthuvype junction which connects to ernakulam. ernakulam is also the nearest rail head. cochin international airport is the closest airport at a distance of 40 km.
