Malambuzha is a beautiful township located at palakkad, malambuzha dam is the largest reserviour in kerala, the dam is the liungs of palakkad and the near places because the water supply for farming is take from here. the dam was inaugurated in 1955 by the madras chief minister k. kamaraj, because during that period malmbuzha was the part of madras presidency. it locate 10 km from palakkad town, malambuzha is large scale project first launched in kerala,is about 115 meter height. the dam is very useful project, by its water for drinking, irrigation, power project, farming, fish farming etc.

Palakkad is the highest tempreature at summer period, during this period the water supply to many panchayaths including parali, ottappalam, lakkidi, mankara, shornur, ongalllur etc. this multipurpose only by the water of kerala’s second longest river bharathappuzha. malambuzha garden located at the entry way to dam. in 2005 it celebrated the golden jubilee. There is two canal systems to serve the water to the reserviour. the rock garden is the artistry by neck chand.
