The attractions of the international coir museum is rich with the objects, it shows the equipment used to made the coir products. kerala government give more prominence to this industry, for promoting the necessity of coir, government launched a project that aims a coir product must for every houses. this kind of a museum is first in the world. ans also a demo to showing how made a coir material, by the workers. here also have the hand looming machines.
The museum is open for the visitors daily from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm daily, but the exception in monday and public holidays.
Alappuzha railway station located little far from the international coir museum, cochin international airport is the most comfortable airport from here at a distance of approximately 90 km. we can easily catch the buses from kalavoor bus stop, also national water way passes through alappuzha. once you visit the Venice of east, you don’t miss this museum of having the heritage features and culture of kerala.
